Hijabk: A Jordanian atelier for khimars and abayas, ordered over WhatsApp.

A storefront for a workshop in Amman making khimars, veils and abayas from Korean and Turkish fabrics. Orders go through WhatsApp, payment is cash on delivery, and shipping covers every governorate.

The client sells through Instagram, where every order is a DM conversation and nothing is browsable. Customers cannot see the range, and the workshop retypes the same answers all day.

The site gives the catalogue a permanent home while leaving the ordering exactly where the customer is already comfortable. A tap opens WhatsApp with the item pre-filled, so nothing about the sales process had to change.

Problems worth solving

  1. Do not replace a checkout that works

The obvious move is a real cart and online payment. But the customers here expect cash on delivery and a conversation before buying. A card form would have lost sales, not added them.

The site is a catalogue that hands off to WhatsApp with the item and size already written into the message. It removes the browsing friction and keeps the part that was already working.

What came of it

  • A browsable catalogue feeding WhatsApp orders, with delivery across Jordan.
