Ghurza

Learn crochet in Arabic, from the first stitch upward.

Ghurza: Learn crochet in Arabic, from the first stitch upward.

A complete Arabic learning path for crochet: ordered lessons from the very first stitch through to advanced work, plus references for yarns, hooks and tools, and a curated set of the best Arabic and international sources.

Arabic crochet material exists, but it is scattered across videos with no ordering. A beginner has no way to know what to learn after the first stitch, or which of forty videos is the right next one.

This is the missing structure: a single ordered path where each lesson assumes only what came before it, with the reference material a learner keeps needing, like yarn weights, hook sizes and tools, kept separate from the path itself.

Problems worth solving

  1. Ordering is the product

The content already exists on the internet. Publishing another list of it adds nothing. The reason beginners stall is that no source tells them what order to do things in.

The site is built around a strict prerequisite chain rather than a category listing, and the references are deliberately kept off that chain so they can be consulted at any point without breaking the sequence.

What came of it

  • An ordered Arabic curriculum with separate tool and material references.
