My portfolio and my web résumé.
The previous portfolio and the standalone web résumé: an animated single-page portfolio with a command menu, and a print-friendly CV with a keyboard-driven interface.
Two separate sites doing two different jobs. The portfolio is the pitch, animated, opinionated, built to be looked at. The résumé is the reference, dense, scannable, and something a recruiter can print.
Keeping them apart meant neither had to compromise: the portfolio can be heavy on motion without hurting the CV, and the CV can be plain without making the portfolio look dull.
Problems worth solving
Motion that does not cost the first impression
A portfolio is judged in the first two seconds, and that is exactly the window that heavy animation and font loading spend on themselves.
Content is readable before the animation resolves rather than gated behind it, so a slow connection degrades to a plain page instead of a blank one.
What came of it
- A motion-led portfolio and a separate, printable web résumé.
- Now being replaced by this bilingual rebuild.
