1a1'Free' is not the same as 'available'
A teacher with no class that period may still be unavailable. They may be on duty, at their daily limit, or already covering something else. A naive gap search returns names the office cannot actually use.
Find a substitute teacher before the bell rings.
0The facts

1 · Overview
A smart school system for managing teachers, timetables, substitutes, period swaps and task follow-up. Its core job is answering, instantly, who can cover a class when a teacher is absent.
When a teacher calls in sick at 7am, someone in the office solves a constraint problem by hand, on paper, in fifteen minutes, while the first period is starting. They do it every single morning.
Al-Manal does that search instantly: given the timetable and who is absent, it produces the teachers who are genuinely free for that period, so the decision is a choice rather than a scramble.

1a1aWhat I did
Availability is computed from the full set of constraints rather than the timetable alone, and candidates are ranked so the fairest option, usually whoever has covered least, appears first.
