1 · General notes

What it is, and why it exists.

A digital wedding invitation with details, location, countdown and RSVP, sent as a link instead of printed and delivered by hand.

Printed invitations in Jordan mean a print run, a guest count fixed weeks early, and someone driving around delivering cards. Most of them end up as a photo in a WhatsApp group anyway.

This is the link version: the details, the venue on a map, a countdown, and an RSVP that gives the couple a live number instead of an estimate.

2 · Challenges

DETAIL 1

It gets opened on a phone, in a group chat, once

The problem

There is exactly one chance to make the impression, on whatever device the guest happens to hold, often on a slow connection, and a heavy animated page that loads badly is worse than a printed card.

As built

The page is built mobile-first and kept light, with motion used sparingly enough that the invitation is readable before the animation finishes.

3 · Results

  1. 3.1Shareable invitation with map, countdown and live RSVP counts.
